The wastewater treatment plant of the Danone factory in Rotselaar has been jointly operated by Pantarein Water for many years. As part of this partnership, we continue to develop improvement projects to – among other things – achieve more sustainable treatment, reuse more water, and improve effluent quality.
In 2023, the biological treatment plant’s old surface aerators were replaced with a pull-up fine bubble aerator fed by ultra-efficient turbo compressors. Combined with sophisticated monitoring and control of oxygen demand, we were able to achieve energy savings of 3 mWh per day!
