Meurens Natural sought out Pantarein Water to create a circular water story.
Meurens Natural produces natural ingredients for the food industry. Their organic products have been well established in their industry for over 30 years. Meurens maintains that philosophy throughout the organization. ‘Social’ and ‘sustainable’ are core concepts in the daily processes of this company.
After an expansion of their production process, it was no longer possible for Meurens to discharge untreated water into the sewage system. So Meurens sought out Pantarein Water to create a circular water story.
Pantarein Water designed an anaerobic pre-treatment with biogas valorization (steam production) for Meurens. This is combined with aerobic post-treatment and an MBR, and then the effluent is reused as cooling water. Circularity is central throughout the process. That is how, together, Meurens and Pantarein Water wrote a new chapter in their sustainable story.
